Hannibal, MO — Lois M. Moyers, 75, of Hannibal, died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Tabernacle of Praise Church in Hannibal. Pastor John Wesley Davis will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moyers was born May 10, 1934, in Hannibal to John C. and Mildred M. Ravenscraft Muehring.
She was married to Charles F. “Wilbur” Moyers on Jan. 16, 1965, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Oct. 3, 2002.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy G. Sanders (Pam) of New London, Mo., Terry W. Sanders (Kathy) of New London, Mo.; three daughters, Tonia Bihn (Kenneth) of Hannibal, Janet Miller (Mark) of St. Charles, Mo., Caroline McIntosh of Hannibal; foster children, Robert Dixon of Eunice, La., and Regina Arnaud (David) of Eunice, La.; grandchildren, Kim Preston, Martha Sanders, Mark and Brian Sanders, Michael Bihn, Amanda Bihn, Matthew and Megan Milller, Nigel and Grace McIntosh, Kaci and Ashley Arnaud and R.J. Dixon; three great-grandchildren, Derrick and Marissa Boyd and Justice LeiAnn Preston; one brother, Milton K. Muehring (Becky) of Hannibal, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by one brother, John Evan Muehring, and one son-in-law, Robert McIntosh.
Mrs. Moyers was a homemaker and had also worked as a nurse’s assistant. She loved gardening and yard work and was an avid bird watcher. Mrs. Moyers was a member of Tabernacle of Praise Church. She was a strong Christian and dearly loved the Lord.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle of Praise Church in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Wagner, Larry Brown, Todd Hirner, Jim Keith, Tim McLain and Glen Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
