I am looking for information on Mudgett family members in the New York area. I recently had to obtain a death certificate for my Mother since my Father died and found the name Mudgett as her Mothers maiden name. I never knew this. MY grandmothers name was Ardell Mudgett. My Mother was born in 1916. Just wondering if anyone have any information on that family name...

I always thought our family heritage was Irish but now I see it was English.. Surprise....
