Prospect Cemetery in Stockton Springs, Maine, has a stone for Jeremiah Mudgett, 1825-1874, with the inscription 'Captain, buried in Australia.' His wife's stone identifies her as Angeline L., 1839-1926. An infant son, Willard, died in 1870. This same plot has the graves of John and Elizabeth Dickey Griffin. Elizabeth had a sister Nancy Jane Dickey, b. 1811 in Prospect ME, who married my gggrandfather Willard Mudgett in 1836. I don't have the information on parents of Jeremiah or my Willard Mudgett, but I'm sure they are related. Notify Administrator about this message?
