Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, May 28, l925 MRS. T.J. KNAPP, a former well known resident of Garden Grove for several years, died at her home in Waterloo, Iowa, Thursday of last week and the remains were brought to Garden Grove for interment Monday, by the side of her husband, in the Garden Grove Cemetery, the body being accompanied by her sons, VANCE and J.C., and wife. MRS. KNAPP was the daughter of MAJOR and MRS. G.C. MUDGETT, and was born in DeKalb County, Indiana, in l847, and with her parents moved to Jones County, Iowa in l853 where they resided until l860 in which year the family came to Decatur County, Iowa. In the year l866, she was married to T.J. KNAPP at Leon, Iowa and she made her home in Garden Grove with her husband until his death in l9l4, when she went to Council Bluffs, Iowa, to make her home with her daughter, MRS. NINA FRAZIER and at the death of MRS. FRAZIER's husband in l900, they moved to Waterloo, Iowa, where she died Thursday, May l4, l925. To this union were born five children; NINA FRAZIER, of Waterloo, Iowa; W.J. and R.C., of Vancouver, Wash.; and V.C. and J.C., of Waterloo, Iowa. She also leaves six grandchildren, MABEL, PAULINE, CARL and DONALD of Waterloo, and JOE and HARRIETT HANNAH, of Vancouver, Wash. During MRS. KNAPP's long residence in Garden Grove she made a host of friends who will regret very much to learn of her death. She was a kind and affectionate mother and wife and her death will be a sad loss to her children and grandchildren.
