Hi Whitney,

Harriett (Hattie) Mudge is my great-grandmother. I have very little info about the Mudge family and no info on the Travis family. Here is what I have:

Austin Mudge was born about 1843 and is buried at Mt. Hope Cemetary in Watertown, SD. They had 3 children, Harriett, Amelia and Alpha. I think Austin's father name was Nathan.

Harriett E Mudge born in March 1872 in Sparta, WI Monroe County and died in 1940. She is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetary in Watertown, SD. She married James O'Byrne who was born April 1858 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Dodge County and died July 7, 1910 and is also buried at Mt. Hope Cemetary in Watertown, SD. They had at least 2 children Joseph Llewellyn (my grandfather)and Austin W.I believe they divorced. Her second husband was James Flett.

I would really like any info you can give me about the Mudge/Travis line and if I can help you just let me know.

Thanks, Mary Heavlin
