Re: Michigan Mudge family

Hi Chuck,
I seem to learn more and more about this Joshua Mudge. I am directly related to him also. It appears his parents were not, as first believed, Ebenezer Mudge Jr and Patience Fuller.Instead, as of this date, his parents were Ebenezer Mudge Jr. and Hannah ?. This is according to the official Mayflower Society Book dealing with the descendants of Edward Fuller. Ebenezer Mudge Jr did marry Patience Fuller, however, but it was his 2nd wife, instead of his first.
I know the family moved from Middlesex Co., CT to Litchfield Co., CT to MA. Thus, I did find a Joshua Mudge of Canaan, Lithfield Co., CT in the Colonial Connecticut Records now on line. He was in Vol. 11, p. 542. If it is the same Joshua Mudge, he was injured in 1760, losing the sight of his right eye. He was a soldier during the campaign at a place called Oswagatchy. The General Assembly that began its session on May 14, 1761 directed that he be compensated.
