On the Darling forum you can find a post about an Isabel Muckle who married George Darling of Lasswade, Mid-Lothian, Scotland. They had a son George born in 1614, who seems to fit quite well with the George Darling who lived in Salem, Massachusetts and environs from 1651-1693. Based on the age of the George Darling as reported in various depositions, it seems likely that he was born between 1614 and 1620 (more plausibly the former). If the two 1614 George Darlings are identical, and considering the rarity of the Muckle name, then you probably have thousands of cousins in the US, in addition to those in North Dakota who may bear the name.
