First of all, I'm compiling a book on early settlers of Sanders co., so I dearly need help from you also on this family.
For you - I have picked John & family up on the 1905 polk directory listing him as a miner. 1906 they bought thri residence in Plains. 1909 Gertrude is lists as a milliner. 1913 lists her as a widow. Gertrude died May 15, 1936 and is buried in the Plains cemetery.
Thomas - 1911 is listed as a driver for the Sanders Co. Mercantile Co., 1913 he is a driver for the Ford & Company and living with his mother.
Claude William in 1913 worked as a clerk in the McGowan Commerical Co. He was born May 17, 1894 and died Jan. 31, 1976 with burial in the Plains cem.
Anna A. (Benedick) Hershberger died 1961 buried Plains, Cem. If she was married to John, then he died 1945.
Now to some of my needs - Who was John's parents and also Gertrudes parents and what other information do you have that we can share?
I will look for additional information.
