GEORGE A. LLOYD, MISSOULA POLICE OFFICER PASSES
Missoula, Nov. 26. --- George A. Lloyd, seventh man in point of service on the Missoula police force, lost a courageous battle for life Friday night when he succumbed at about 10:30 at a local hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Lloyd entered the hospital September 20 for an operation. Last week he underwent a second operation. He was 47 years of age.
He first joined the Missoula police in 1925 when he became a regular patrolman. Previous to his police career he had worked for the Missoula gas company and operated a fish hatchery at Arlee.
He is survived by his widow and a daughter, Rita Belle. The family home is at 721 South Second street.
Mr. Lloyd was a member of the Masons and Odd Fellows lodges.
I hope you find the above information useful. I am not related to this Lloyd family.
