Hello, I have been told there used to be a CHAFFIN family reunion each year in Montana - Hamilton area, maybe?? I was wondering if anyone knew if this reunion was still being held?
My CHAFFIN ancestor, Joseph (1824-1870), stayed in Missouri along with his brother, Newton. Many of the other CHAFFIN relatives went to the Bitter Root Valley in the 1860s and later. A number of my SAMUEL ancestors went there too.
My GG Grandfather, Joseph CHAFFIN is buried in Corvallis Cemetery. He had gone there for a visit and died.
If anyone has information about the CHAFFIN reunion (or any of the CHAFFIN or SAMUEL descendants), I would appreciate hearing from you. I do have some additional names and dates I can provide if there is someone researching these families.
