I am seeking information on the ancestry of Mons Olai Helvik who was born in Bergen, Norway on September 2, 1872; emigrated to the U.S. in 1892); married Mabel Louella Shaul/Shawl September 21, 1897 in Armstrong, Iowa; and died in Missoula County, Montana on April 30, 1957.
His children were Tilda (married Helgi Anderson), Alice (married Seth George Manning), Marie (married Jess Starkweather and Bill Phelen), Lauren (married Dorothy E. Wilkens), Mabel (married Amos Clark), Hazel (married Frank Drake and John Slehofer), Mona Irene (married Earl Herbert Larson and Ralph Paul Zopfi), Dorothy (married Loren Everett Stott) and Gertrude (married Bendick Ness).
He had three brothers: Hans, Louis and Ole M. Louis and Ole also emigrated to the U.S.
