My husbands GG Grandfather was Hezekiah Stebbs Templeton. He was in the 2nd Iowa Volunteers, Co E, We know he fought at the Hornets Nest at the Battle of Shilo, was mustered out in the fall of 1861 with a surgeons certificate of disability. He moved to Montana in 1863 and was a miner. He returned to Iowa and married Katherine Gallaher. He returned to Montana and was a member of the vigilantes around Nevada City, Virginia City,(the Ruby Gulch area). He finally settled in Twin Bridges, where he is buried. If there are any other decendents, or someone with more information I would be very grateful for your help. I am attempting a family history, for future generations of the Taggart Clan.

Thanks,

Judith Taggart
