Thanks, Thomas,
Here's what I've been told...
In 1915, Fredrick (aka Ferdinand, aka Valentine) Bierwagen, his wife Henrietta (nee Schmidtke), one daughter, Mary, and one son, Ed (aka Adolf) moved to Montana from Saskatchewan.
They apparently established a homestead there.I would be interested in knowing where, and any documentation.
In 1917 Mary married Otto Schleusner and stayed in Montana.
In 1918 Henrietta and Ed returned to Saskatchewan where they lived the rest of their lives.
The whereabouts of Fredrick is uncertain. It seems he didn't return to Canada. It is said that he returned to Poland or Germany but that is not for certain. He may have had trouble with the law so his name may appear in those records.I would like to find out what happened to him.Perhaps there are records that indicate when he entered and left the state and where he was headed.
They were all born in Poland or Germany.Their dates are:
Fredrick: 1860 - ?
Henrietta: 1861 - 1948
Mary: 1898-1995
Ed: 1900-1988
I've seen Bierwagen spelled Bierwagon, Berwage/on, and even Burwage/on.
