According to Roberta Carkeek Cheney in the book NAMES ON THE FACE OF MONTANA, Ubet was once the best-known stage station in Montana. A post office was opened there in 1881 and Augusta Barrows was the post master. Ubet was a one-man town and there never were any private residences, but the post office served a wide area that later included the towns of Garneill, Judith Gap, Buffalo, Straw, Moore and Beaver Creek. The post office was closed in 1904 after the railroad came through the area.
There were several Lutz families who homesteaded in the area of Fergus and Judith Basin counties. See the following link. http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/default.asphttp://www.glorecords.blm.gov/default.asp
A search for a locale or stream with the name Trout Creek results in 1 hit for Little Trout Creek in Judith Basin county. http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnispublic/f?p=109:1:3944468551746655::NO::P1_COUNTY,P1_COUNTY_ALONG:n%2Chttp://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnispublic/f?p=109:1:3944468551746655::NO::P1_COUNTY,P1_COUNTY_ALONG:n%2C
You might try posting to the Fergus county and Judith Basin county GenWeb sites, someone there may be able to help.
