Old records from the Montana State Prison (and other state institutions), are housed at the Montana State Historical Library & Archives located in Helena, Montana. You can contact them by going to the following website:

At the bottom of the webpage for the above site, there is an email address where you can place a query as to the procedures for requesting these records, and learning the cost.
