Hi everyone,
My name is Carla Lyland Tevis, born in Indio,Ca. 7-25-47 to Carl Winston Tevis (born august 26th, 19?? teens I think) and Alice Derosier Tevis. My parents were married in Missoula,Mt. October 31st,1946
My parents were divorced when I was an infant and I have very little information on the Tevis family. I am interested in exactly where I fit in as I have read quite alot about the Tevis's starting with the Maryland story.
My fathers mother I believe was named Amelia Gleason, however I am not positive on that name. His father was
Carl Tevis also and they were from Indianna. My father also had a sister Rose I believe. He told my mother that his favorite Aunt was Lyland Tevis and hence my middle name. My mother said my father had been married prior to marrying her and had a daughter named Joann(a). She also said he had an illegitimate son in Austrailia who went by
a first name of TEVI, When my parents were divorced my mother returned to Montana and she never spoke to or saw my father again, when I was in my teens she sent a letter with a photo to his father in Indiannapolis, his father sent the letter and photo back stating he had no idea where his son was. I am not interested in what I can get
from the Tevis's if that is anyones concern, I am only interested in the genealogy aspect of information.
