The middle initial for Horace is not correct, in 1900 he gives parents as born in MA and IN, which fit On Ancestry Family Trees is listed this John Franklin Pomery who was married first to Martha Jane Blake on Dec 30 1862, and they had 4 children, married #2 Isabelle Clark Sep 1 1872, d/o A.J.Clark and Harriet A. Mann, b Sep 1842 Putnamville IN, and had children :

Franklin Clark Nov 2 1874
Horace Greeley Mar 6 1786
Alice Feb 19 1878
Clara Belle Jul 17 1882
John Andrew Oct 8 1884 all born Holton Kansas
