I found a listing of the burial of Lovenia Johnston and it showed "Chance" was the name of a town. It may be extinct now. Try contacting the Carbon County Historical Society in Red Lodge, MT. They may have copies of the Carbon County Republican and/or the obituary.

Also, the Montana Historical Society has copies of many of the Montana small town newspapers.
