Hi Erin,
A good place to start is by searching census.But, that depends on who would have been around in 1930, as that is the most current viewable year.From there, hopefully your ancestors can be traced back.If you do not have access, volunteers will try to assist you.You will need to supply family info, as best that you can.Such as........
Your father's name, approx birth year, birthplace
Ditto for your mother & grandparent's, including the maiden names if known.
Are your parents living?
Do you know any of their sibling's names?
I'll leave it at that for now & see where your response leads us. :)
