I need to verify the parents of Enoch Rogers, born about 1812 NY, married to Harriet Hill Rogers who died Nov. 1 1893 buried at Carlton Montana cemetery.

We have a family heirloom with the name "Anna Adrich Rogers of Rhode Island."

I found this post on the New London CT archives.(printed below)

Note: Aletha Barr (Letha), age 10, is on the 1880 census living in the Enoch Rogers household in Leighton Mahaska Iowa.

She is a grand daughter of Enoch Rogers. I would like to know more about DAR documentation.

If the information on our family heirloom is correct, I wonder if there is a generation missing in the DAR documentaion. Is it possible the parents of Enoch Rogers, born about 1812 NY, are actually Abijah JR., born about 1789 and Anna Aldrich, born RI Dec 28, 1789? Is Abijah Jr. the son of Abijah Sr. born Lyme CT Oct 27, 1768, and Rachel Styles b. 1774 Pittsfield MA?

Please contact me at MillerMF@aol.com if you have info on the Rogers, Barr or Smith family, or DAR documentation that could help me.

Enoch Rogers' wife was Harriet Hill. I believe she died November 1, 1893 in Ravilli County Montana. Enoch may have died in Iowa after the 1880 census. Their children included Nancy Rogers who married Charles Smith in Iowa, and possibly Etta, Anna Rosetta, William, Ida and Harriet. I gleaned info from posts of Beondi Ehrgott from 2000 about his Rogers + Smith family, buried in Ravalli Montana.
Thank you, Paula
