Helen Beryl GEORGE married Ozroe Dewit ("O. D.") FINCH and they lived and raised their children in and around Bigfork, Montana. O. D. Finch was born 20 May 1895, in Jericho MO, and died 15 August 1971 (aged 76) in Bigfork, MT.
The WOOD connection is that Helen Beryl George Finch's mother was Ollie Belle Wood Boatwright George.
Another family WOOD connection was Ollie Belle's sister-in-law, Nancy Pearl George, who married Perley WOOD and lived in North Dakota.
Ollie Belle's Wood family was from northwest Missouri before moving to Montana. Her uncle, Benjamin H. Wood stayed behind in Andrew County, MO, but I understand that three of her brothers also moved to Montana around 1900.
H.B. Wood is apparently one brother, Wayland Wood is another. I haven't found the name of the third. Help, please?
