It sounds like you did a lot of work trying to answer my question. I really appreciate your work of service. The L. in Ingebrigt's name actually stands for Larson or Larsson or Larsen. It is his patronym, however, most of his relatives began using the name of their farm as their last name when they came to the U.S. which is Eggum. (They also used it in Norway.) Thanks again.
