I am not sure of which newspaper the story was carried in because there were more than one newspaper in those days.

There are two places that I know of that can provide you with copies of newspaper articles about the Granite Mountain-Speculator Mine disaster of 1917--I don't know if these newsstories carry the names of the survivors or not.The first is the Butte Archives, which has a very complete collection of various Butte newspapers:
