I am looking for descendents of Theodor(e) and Lena Everts Johnson, Lena was the daughter of Peter Everts of New Douglas Illinois. I have her obituary. I need the obituary for Theodore. They had three children, Henry, Edward and Anna.
Lena's brother, John, was my Grandfather. Her brother, my Great Uncle Charley lived in Spearfish and Belle Fourche. He and Anna are buried in New Douglas cemetery. I noticed a city called Gustav. and it is either in the Black Hills or southeast Montana. The Hawley family of Alzada, Montana are cousins of mine as are the Johnsons. I have written a journal of the history of the family of Peter and Anna Everts starting with the year 1705. I was in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota in 1984, but none of the children or grandchildren would speak to me. One of them had a car dealership in Belle Fourche, and Hawley would not allow me on his property. So I am at a loss as to where to start trying to find descendents of Theordore and Lena.
Theodore was the son of Heinrich and Anna Theen JANSEN and on November 13, 1887, an Everts lady married a Johnson man whose name had been Jansen and, obviously, Theodore changed his name from JANSEN TO JOHNSON. Any relatives out there?
