1920 U.S. Federal Census; Montana; Powell County; Township of Deer Lodge; Roll #: T625_974; Page: 2A; Enumeration District: 172; Image: 0688. ALLEN, Edward C.; head of household; male; white; 21 years of age; married; born in Montana; father born in Indiana; mother born in Sweden; occupation: plumber--hardware company. ALLEN, Alice A.; wife; female; white; 19 years of age; married; immigrated to U.S. in 1919; born in England; both parents born in England; occupation: none listed. ----------------------- I was unable to find this couple in the 1930 Census index for ANY state in the U.S. I did find Alice, but not Edward, in the Washington State Death Index: ALLEN, Alice A. Died: 26 Nov 1982 at 82 years of age in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Social Security #: 532-34-1084 Death Certificate #: 030409 The small city of Deer Lodge is the County Seat of Powell County, while the city of Anaconda is the County Seat of Deer Lodge County--confusing isn't it? Anyway, the city of Deer Lodge is about 24 miles (38 kilometers) northeast of the city of Anaconda. I live in Anaconda and cannot find these people referenced in any of my local biographical or history books. Notify Administrator about this message?
