You might wish to try your family names on the US Genweb site. It would help if you could post where they lived and approximate dates. There is the Soc. Sec. Death index for those in this century in particular. Will give you a starting place for obits and so on. Some states have indexes for names of those buried in cemeteries and some are on the genweb site. Contacting local gen. clubs or local librarians in those counties not posted on the web site (USgen or roots) would help, too. Good luck. I do wonder if the county name has anything to do with your family name... sometimes pans out. J.
