Hello Wayne, Your post caught my eye. I was looking for someone else. I'm not related. There are 28 entries for HARRY LACY on the SSDI, http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi One whose SSN was issued in South Dakota was b. 09 Jul 1921, d. 21 Mar 1988. If that one is yours, you can get his SSN application, which will give you his parents, but it will cost you $27. It doesn't say where he died or you could write for an obituary, which is cheaper. In a more general vein, dates, even estimated dates, help a lot more than relationships. I know people whose grandfather faught in the Civil War, and others whose grandfather faught in Viet Nam. While all the experts say you shouldn't reveal birth dates of living people on the Internet, birth, marriage and death dates of dead people help identify them. Lacy, Lindsey and Wright are not as common as Smith and Jones, but they are not as rare as Rogolinski, either. Figuring you are about 25, I can estimate Wayne b. 1975 Denise b. 1950 Clifton b. 1925 Harry b. 1900 So, either your family all has their first child early or the Harry I found wasn't yours. I suspect he isn't yours. That's why dates REALLY help. I have some tips and links for beginners at http://www.tedpack.org/begingen.html Notify Administrator about this message?
