In a very old cemetery in Montana between Wolf Creek and Augusta, I found the following tombstones:

Edmond Brassard, age 34, d. 1885/1886
T. M. Brown, age 55, d. 4/10/1885
Augustus L. Cottle, died 7/3/1878
John H. Wareham, b. 12/24/1844 d. 7/3/1878 “killed by Indians”
Tom Payne
