S. W. Hurst at 43 yrs. is listed in the 1800 Silver Star census with his wife Helen A. and a daughter V. O. His occupation was Quartz Miner. They had a son, Loe Barrow Hurst, who was born shortly after that census. His wife was Helen Augusta Beardsley of Woodstock, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada. She returned to Canada, a widow, about 1885. The only information I have on S.W. Hurst is from this 1880 census. Does the town of Silver Star or Madison Co. have records that go back far enough to give death information on him? Have any area newspapers that might go back that far and have a death notice been archived? Thank you.
