A biography/family history of Isaac Flinchpaugh is included in "Montana, Its Story & Biography", Vol 2, pages 633 & 634

Parents: Caleb & Rachel (Ingersoll) Flinchpaugh.

Isaac came west to work as a carpenter constructing the Bitterroot railway. On 5 Dec 1887, he located to a premption claim of 160 acres, the tract being where the city of Kalispell now stands.

In Missoula, Isaac married Miss Mary Glockle, b. 1866, Indiana, daughter of John & Mary Glockle. Isaac died, 26 Nov 1939, age 81, in Kalispell. Mary died, 2 April 1924, Age 58, Kalispell.
