There is one more option. You could obtain a copy of his Death Certificate, which would specify the funeral home that was in charge, and the cemetery. Try first in Anaconda at the Deer Lodge County Courthouse:

Clerk & Recorder
A-DL County Courthouse
800 S. Main Street
Anaconda, MT 59711
PHONE: (406) 563-4061

You might try phoning first (they will frequently do look-ups while you wait if they aren't busy at the time). The cost to obtain a certificate from the county is very inexpensive, about $3.00 plus postage. If Deer Lodge County does not have the certificate, then it will be on file in Helena at the Dept. of Vital Records:

Cost of Death Certificate copy: $12.00

Address:
Office of Vital Statistics
MT Dept. of Public Health and Human Services
111 N Sanders, Rm. 209
P.O. Box 4210
Helena, MT 59604
PHONE: (406) 444-2685 (phone first for current fees)

Remarks: State office has had records since late 1907. Additional copies of the same record requested at the same time are $5.00. Hopefully you will be able to provide the date of death.
