I believe the old "reformatory" located in Miles City is now named the "Pine Hills Youth Correctional Facility." http://bccdoj.doj.state.mt.us/directory/State/dir-a-correct.asp The records you seek are probably located in the Montana Historical Society's Library and Archives located in Helena, Montana (this is where very old records from old state institutions are archived). You can query if these records are there and how you might obtain them if they are: Go to the following link and scroll to the bottom of the page where there is an e-mail address where you can make your query: http://www.montanahistoricalsociety.org/research/library/requestsgene.asp Most boys were sent to Miles City in the early 1900s for the same reason they are today, namely, truancy, vandalism, inability to be maintained in a community environment, etc. Good luck in your search!
