I believe the old "reformatory" located in Miles City is now named the "Pine Hills Youth Correctional Facility."

The records you seek are probably located in the Montana Historical Society's Library and Archives located in Helena, Montana (this is where very old records from old state institutions are archived). You can query if these records are there and how you might obtain them if they are:

Most boys were sent to Miles City in the early 1900s for the same reason they are today, namely, truancy, vandalism, inability to be maintained in a community environment, etc.
