Found a bio on John Mieyr in Helen Fitzgerald Sander's 1913 "A History of Montana", volume 3, page 1521-2

Some basics:

Native of the Wisconsin, born Ontonogan, Ontonogan county. Parents were John and Lena (Kirtchen) Mieyr, both natives of Germany. Father died 1903 in Michigan.

John Mieyr is a twin.

Married August 29, 1888 to Mayme Ryan of Columet, Michigan, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ryan

John and Mayme had 7 children at time of bio: Goerge, born July 11, 1889, accidentally killed at Biben, WI September 18, 1912; Myrle born November 1891, died in 1902 in Great Falls; richard and John born and died in Calumet; Clarence born July 1899; Alice born June 1903; Theodore born August 1906

If you'd like a copy of this bio, E me privately and include author, volume, page #, and name of person (John Mieyr)
