Re: Ellstrom-Ward Marriage

Thanks very much for this information. There are just so many Viola Ward's in the records that it is hard to know which one is correct.

Is it possible to check out Viola Ellstrom's marriage to Colin Ward (probably around 1913)? Her parents were Fredrika Karolina Abrahamson and Andrew Ellstrom.

Also, both of Viola's children were born in Montana, Jack M. Ward (abt 1915 and Carroll J. Ward (abt 1917). Their birth records should show their parents names.

Before 1930 Viola remarried and moved to King Co., Washington State. Her new husband was Howard Horton. It is a bit puzzling about her last name, but perhaps she divorced Horton and moved back to Montana and took back the name of Ward.

In 1958 we traveled thru Great Falls, Montana and stopped to meet my mother's two elderly cousins who were living together in a lovely old house. I believe these were two of the Ellstrom sisters, but have no idea which ones.

I may have to invest in a website where I can get the various birth & marriage records but I sure hate to limit it to one state. I thought I would get all that with the Ancestry subscription but it's not everything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for helping me.
