I am glad to know you had no problem looking at the records.
I visited the Carbon Co. Court House in July 2007, I was told I could not look at Divorce and Marriage,Probate records could only use Court index. I made a complaint about this to County Attorney. I received a I am sorry letter in response. I hope because of my efforts the access to records will be better for all in the future. I am sad to say my research trip to Red Lodge was a disapointment. I do not expect to be able to go back and do the planned work. I live two days drive from Red Lodge. I was researching Martin, Solomon, Greenough. Those families were there before 1900.
