I recently came across this obit:
RED LODGE - John Skupa, 82, who enjoyed woodwork and furniture making and was known for his ability in growing roses and clematis, died Sunday in his home after a long illness.
He was born in Malby, PA., a son of Vincent and Hedwig Skupa, who brought their family to Red Lodge when he was 11. He worked in the Eastside Coal Mine before moving to a ranch on the East Bench when he was 14. He ranched with his father until retiring in 1949. Mr. Skupa married Mary Castagne and they made their home in Red Lodge.
Survivors include the widow; two stepdaughters, Betty Lindell of Belfry and Marguerite Davis of Helena; a brother, Edward of Billings; and a sister, Mayme Yedlicka of Fromberg.
The Rosary will be Recited at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Red Lodge Cemetery with Olcott Funeral Home in charge.
