Harrison G. Otis; Sgt. at Arms, First Mont. Terr. Council

I have a letter from 1865 signed by H. G. Otis ( Harrison G. Otis ), who was the Sergeant-at-Arms for the first Montana Territorial Council in Bannack. I have not been able to find anything about this H. G. Otis (I understand there were quite a few of them - the most prominant being the LA Times Otis), other than that he was in the gold rush mining town of Bannack (Beaverhead County) in at least 1864 and 1865. Does anyone know from where this Harrison came, what he did in Montana, or where he ended up? Iím interested in my families history.
