Hi- I am researching Smiths and Deskins in Yazoo County.
My great-great grandfather was Ahijah Hay Zealy Smith. 1873-1947. He was married to Margaret Elizabeth Hunter 1885-1953. Another great-great grandfather was Daniel Webster Smith 1875-1952 and his wife was Sallie Altman 1879-1956. I believe that Daniel is the son of Samuel Smith and Paralee Deskin. Ahijah is the son of Alexander Green Rogers Smith and Sarah Elizabeth Deskin. Very much beyond this and I am stumped. I do have some information on the Deskin family in Virginia but not alot. I have very little on the Smiths. Any information is much appreciated.
