J. C.,
I can't recall just when Jimmy Bell died or when his mother died. I can't find either of them in the SSDI, but there are so many Bells. Some day, I'll come upon something in the Yazoo County newspapers. They might be buried in Yazoo City; the Mississippi Archive's book for Yazoo City's Glenwood Cemetery has been sent to the bindry.
The last time I saw Jimmy Bell was in the summer of 1959 while traveling on Hwy 49 south of Yazoo City. It was night and we had a flat tire. He stopped and my friend who didn't know who he was, was scared to death because he had a gun on the front seat of his car. He drove to a phone and called my dad who came and rescued us. His mother was a tall, thin woman, and he took after her.
As I mentioned, I've been looking into some of the pioneer families who settled in the southern end of the county. The Anding family, Bell family, Causey family, Burwell Scott, Susan Williams, and the Ballance family all settled in the area of Yazoo County where I grew up. My folks arrived much later in 1865!

As to the Richland Cemetery -- I assume that is located in Holmes Co. I think some of that area was part of Yazoo in the really early days. Only reason that I have heard of it before is I have been looking at old maps on the internet from the Library of Congress and some from http://www.genealogyatlas.com
I was looking at the main roads before the advent of the rail roads. I'm afraid I don't who would be in charge of that cemetery.

To bad about the Scotland Cem. I figured that it was located west of Bentonia, as there is a Scotland Creek on the topo map along in there.
If I should find anything, I'll let you know.
