I have hit a brick wall face first and need help.
My great (2 times)grandfather was HENRY PATRICK POU born
February 14, 1811 in Orangeburg S.C..
He was the son of WILLIAM POU JR. and RUTHA SHILLING (or) SCHILLING.
After his fathers death, his mother remarried and moved the children to Wayne co., Mississippi.
On about January 19, 1839 in Mississippi, HENRY PATRICK POU married DRUCILLA (DILLIE) MOBLEY CHAPMAN, born February 16, 1816 in Fairfield S.C.And after her death on October 7, 1881, HENRY married a ? WARD.
HENRY PATRICK POU passed away on December 10, 1891 in Pope County, Chapel Hill, Mississippi.
Children of HENRY and DRUCELLA were
1- WILLIAM HENRY POU (My great grandfather)
2- FRANK POU
3- ANNE POU
4- SARAH POU (married) WILLIAM H. WRAY
5- JULIA E. POU (married) WILY K. HARDY
6- LEWIS POU (married) SUE SIMS or SIMMS
7- JAMES GAVIN POU (married) first MARY E. NELMS and then
GLENNIE McCULLER
8- LAURA POU
9- THEODORE A. POU (married) MARY ALICE WHITTER
I would like to know where he is buryed, a death cert. or Obt. for HENRY and DRUCILLA, or find someone who is decended from any of the above names, or know of this POU line (sometimes the name was spelled POW in some old records)
