On the 1870 FC for Warren Co, I find Patrick "Hennsey" and wife Mary or Marg with 2 year old son James. They had two daughters after this census, Mary Margaret and Susan/Susie.
Family tradition is that the parents died in the 1870s in a yellow fever epidemic and the children were raised by the nuns at a Vicksburg orphanage. I can find no orphanage listed on the 1880 census; does anyone have any idea of where I might look for these children? On later marriage/census records their names are spelled "Hamsey" and "Hampsey". Susie was married in the Catholic Church in Vicksburg and a Father Oliver officiated.
