Loyce Lee Holmes, 24, of Pumpkin Centery community, died March 4, 1973 at Union County General Hospital. Services were March 6 at Myrtle Church of the Lord Jesus Christ with burial in the Enterprise Cemetery. Lamar and Pebbles National Funeral Home was in charge. He was a native of Baldwyn and had lived in the New Albany area for a number of years where he was employed in the upholstry department of Fultorian Mfg. Co. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Linda Darnell Holmes; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Holmes of Myrtle; one brother, David R. Holmes of Myrtle; three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Carroll of New Albany, Miss Millie Holmes and Miss Shirley Holmes, both of the home; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Rhodie Floyd of Guntown and Mrs. Millie Holmes of Booneville.
