Brenda Carolyn Thompson Crumpton, 56, died July 10, 2009, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn. She was born in Union County on Dec. 1, 1952, to the late Erskin Thompson and Gara Herring Thompson. She was an employee of Piper Impacts in the past. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching game shows on television. She was a member of Neely Baptist Church.
Services were at the United Funeral Service Chapel with burial in the Vista Memorial Park. United Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included her husband of 30 years, Jimmy “Leon” Crumpton of New Albany; three daughters, Shelly Tanner (B.J.), Larrie Hogue (Gerald) and Brandi Crumpton, all of New Albany; three brothers, Elgin Thompson (Carolyn) of Hickory Flat, James “Tody” Thompson (Lucy) of Sherman and Joe Thompson of New Albany; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Wayne Thompson and Larry Thompson.
