Annie Ruth Aldridge Grant, 91, died March 27, 2009, at the Baptist Desoto Hospital. She was born Feb. 20, 1918, to the late Alonzo Tate Aldridge and Jessie Garrison Aldridge. She was a lady of many talents, one being a school bus driver. She was an active member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church.
Services were at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. United Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included one daughter, Mildred Ruth Grant Milstead of Walnut; one son, Donald Lewis Grant (Glenda) of Hernando; two sisters, Billie A. Richey (Roy) of New Albany and Louis Hester (Ed) of Benoit; three grandchildren, Deana Ruth Milstead Mears of Baldwyn, Andy Hugh Milstead (Chandra) of Walnut and Carol Alicia Grant Sims (Zack) of Olive Branch; four great-grandchildren; nephews; four great-nephews; and one great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Zack Lewis Grant; and one son-in-law, Hugh Dean Milstead.
