Robert Young "Bob" Hall, 84, died March 26, 2009, at Community Hospice in Verona. He was born May 27, 1924, in Union County to Ben B. Hall and Carrie Lou Wilhite Hall. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired highway maintenance worker for the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He was a farmer and a member of Neely Baptist Church.
Services were at United Funeral Service Chapel. Burial was in Martin Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Doris Stanford Hall of New Albany; two daughters, Shirley Hall White (David) and Cindy Hall Cossitt (Mark), both of New Albany; one stepdaughter, Lajune Cook (Donald) of New Albany; nine grandchildren, Robby Hall (Dana), Michelle Lawson (Cooper), Michael Hall (Sandra), Jeremy White (Laurie), Ben Hall (Michelle), Matt Cossitt, Rebecca White, Joel Hall and Cecily Andrews (Dusty); 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eula Mae Kidd Hall; two sons, David Hall and Danny Hall; one stepson, Tommy Jennings; and 11 brothers and sisters.
