Lena Mae Hall Rowland, 91, died March 15, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. She was born Nov. 7, 1917, in Union County to Elvie Hall and Effie Hall. She was a factory worker and former employee of The Shirt Factory. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed quilting and watching T.V., and she loved her grandchildren.
Services were at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany. Burial was in Glenfield Memorial Park.
Survivors included two sons, Ray Rowland (Martha) of Columbus and Wayne "Buddy" Rowland (Kaye) of Saltillo; one sister, Geneva Cleveland of Myrtle; one brother, Carl Hall of Aurora, Ill.; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Rowland; one son, Gene Hall; one great-grandson, Cody Pittman; three sisters, Maybell Rucker, Jessie Sullivan and Lois Scruggs; and two brothers, F.C. Hall and Bud Hall.
