I found this in a book entitled,
“History of Old Tishomingo County, Territory of Mississippi”
on page 31 (speaking of the year 1837)
“ On the 5th of June, it was ordered . . .
Aaron Johnston was appointed overseer to continue said road from Mitchell Creek to where the road intersects the Ripley road, and to have the following hands: Thos. Mays, James R. Stafford, Anderson Johnston, Lewis Jones, Jesse Jones, Jonathon S. Knight, John Jobe, Jr., James Knight, John Thomas, Monroe Rogers, William Green, Leonard B. Wade, Sebern Jones and William Waldrop.”
I am interested in the named Jonathon (Jonathan?) Knight. If anyone has any genealogical information on Jonathon, please, will you share it with me?
Where is Mitchell Creek?
Will appreciate any help on this.
