Amory – Phillip Douglas “Chick Chick Red” Hughes, 56, died Oct. 16, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug. 15, 1953, in Tishomingo County to Clarence and Sarah Ottis Lindsey Hughes. He was a Baptist and a truck driver. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed woodworking, NASCAR and motorcycles.
Services were Oct. 21 at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Fulton City Cemetery.
Survivors included two daughters, Tisha Hughes of Pontotoc and Laurn Mask of Shannon; four sisters, Diane Warren (Billy) of Amory, Billie Krauss (Dennis) of Rossville, Tenn., Maelene Miller (Bobby) of Holly Springs and Geraldine Wigginton of Belmont; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Parker of Fulton; 22 nieces and nephews, 19 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Parker, and a brother, C.T. Hughes.
