Willie L. Hamilton, 85, died Oct. 13, 2009, at Carrington House in Iuka. He was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Red Bay, Ala., to Rev. W.C. and Sally Self Hamilton. He was a brick mason and a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II, and of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.
Services were at Tishomingo Baptist Church with burial in Tishomingo City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors included three children, Eddie Hamilton (Dot) and Betty Carol Sellers (Michael), all of Carthage, and Kathryn Frederick (Tommy) of Iuka; one sister, Lucille James of Iuka; one brother, Billy Hamilton of Cherokee, Ala.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Imogene Green Hamilton; his parents; and six brothers and sisters.
