Iuka – Billy Wingo, 79, formerly of Southaven, died Sept. 23, 2009, at the Mississippi Veterans Home in Oxford. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis for many years.
Services were at Mission Lighthouse Church with burial in Snowdown Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included one brother, Wiley Wingo (Jewel) of Iuka; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Wingo; his parents, Daniel and Ruth Wingo; and nine brothers and sisters.
